Rescato does not sell anything yet. The only thing we collect today is the email you leave on the waitlist, and this page says exactly what we do with it.

  1. 1. What we collect

    Only what you send with the waitlist form:

    • your email address;
    • the language you were reading the page in (Spanish or English);
    • which part of the page you submitted the form from, so we know what works.
  2. 2. What we do not collect

    We do not ask for your name, phone number, address or payment details. We do not store your browser or your device, we do not follow you across other sites, and we do not build a profile of you.

    Our hosting provider does produce technical access logs that may include your IP address. They keep the site available and secure; we do not link them to your email.

  3. 3. What we use it for, and on what legal basis

    For one thing only: to tell you when Rescato opens in your area and, occasionally, how the project is going.

    The legal basis is your consent (art. 6.1.a GDPR), which you give by submitting the form. You can withdraw it whenever you like; withdrawing it does not affect what we did before you withdrew it.

    We do not sell or share your email with anyone, we do not run third-party advertising, and we do not make automated decisions about you.

  4. 4. How long we keep it

    Until you ask us to delete it, or until we close the waitlist — whichever comes first. When you unsubscribe we delete your address from both our database and the email platform.

  5. 5. Who else handles it

    Two providers, acting as data processors, who may only use the data to provide us with their service:

    • Amazon Web Services — hosts the site and the database. Your email is stored in its Frankfurt region (Germany), inside the European Union.
    • Brevo — the platform we send email with. It is a French company.
  6. 6. Transfers outside the EU

    None are planned. If one of our providers ever had to process data outside the European Economic Area, it would do so under the safeguards in Chapter V of the GDPR: a European Commission adequacy decision or standard contractual clauses.

  7. 7. Cookies

    This site sets no analytics and no advertising cookies. We use no Google Analytics and no other tracker.

    We store one value in your browser’s local storage, “rescato.cookie-notice”, to remember that you have dismissed the notice so we do not show it again. It never leaves your device and you can clear it from your browser.

    That is why the notice at the bottom informs you instead of asking permission: there is nothing non-essential to consent to. If we ever add analytics, that notice becomes a real consent gate, switched off by default.

  8. 8. Your rights

    You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability at any time, and withdraw your consent.

    Write to hola@rescato.es from the address you gave us and we will reply within the one-month period the GDPR sets. You can also unsubscribe using the link in any email we send you.

    If you think we have got it wrong, you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (https://www.aepd.es). If you live in another EU country you may complain to your own supervisory authority instead.

  9. 9. Minors

    The waitlist is not aimed at anyone under 14. If we receive an email address from someone below that age, we delete it as soon as we know.

  10. 10. Changes to this policy

    If we change it, we will update the date at the top. If the change affects what we do with your email, we will tell you by email before it takes effect.
